Our Story

Founded from both sides of healthcare

A nurse who ran hospitals. A founder who sat in waiting rooms. The same conclusion from opposite directions.

Health House founders Lori Valenti Webb and Emily Albers at the Rolesville studio

Emily Albers spent her career on the professional side of healthcare — as a nurse, and then a hospital director. Lori Valenti Webb lived the other side: the patient's side, where appointments are seven minutes long and nobody connects the dots.

They kept arriving at the same problem from opposite directions: people can't get unhurried, root-cause, relationship-based care — and staying well shouldn't require an expensive, complicated routine.

Health House is their answer, twice over. In Rolesville: a wellness studio where movement and recovery are approachable, convenient, and sustainable. In North Raleigh: a collaborative where independent holistic practitioners share one roof and treat the person, not the chart.

"Built around the individual — not the system."

The two of us

One of us came to this from inside the healthcare system. The other came to it as a patient.

Lori Valenti Webb

Co-founder · Rolesville

Lori Valenti Webb has been an entrepreneur in the Wake Forest area for over 15 years. She got very ill in 2022 and became a patient in the current healthcare system. The system was harsh, hard to navigate and confusing — so, as a patient, she took matters into her own hands. Lori and Emily built a one-stop shop: a compilation of integrative, functional and holistic healthcare, including peptides, practitioners, a movement studio, wellness modalities, even skin care.

Lori has continued to recover on her journey, and Health House has been a big part of that wellness experience. She is approximately 75% better today, and the community they have built here has continued to push her forward.

One of her favourite things about owning multiple Health House locations is the community-style events she and Emily put together for residents of the area, and the education classes they run to keep people informed about current wellness and health modalities and the shifting science.

Emily Albers

Co-founder · Health House

Emily is a healthcare leader, entrepreneur, and co-founder of Health House, bringing more than 20 years of experience in nursing, healthcare leadership, and business operations to a new model of health and wellness.

After spending decades inside the traditional healthcare system, Emily became increasingly interested in a more comprehensive approach. One that looks beyond symptoms and gives people greater access to education, prevention, recovery, and whole-person wellness.

That vision helped shape Health House and, more recently, Health House: The Collaborative in Raleigh: a multidisciplinary wellness community designed to bring independent practitioners together so clients can access complementary expertise under one roof. Her focus is on building the systems, partnerships, services, and client experience that allow practitioners to collaborate rather than operate in isolation.

Emily is particularly passionate about bridging the gap between conventional healthcare and integrative wellness. She believes people deserve to better understand their health, know the options available to them, and have a team of professionals who communicate and look at the bigger picture.

As an entrepreneur and business owner, Emily brings a systems-driven approach to Health House, combining her clinical background with years of leadership, operations, and business development experience. Her goal is not simply to create another wellness space, but to help build a more connected and collaborative way for people to pursue better health.
