The Heart Behind Health House

A Space Born from Experience, Passion, and Purpose

Health House isn’t just another wellness studio—it’s a sanctuary for those seeking healing, balance, and a sense of belonging. It was founded on a deeply personal journey, one that started with frustration, struggle, and an overwhelming need for something more. At the heart of Health House are two incredible women: Lori Valenti Webb and Emily Albers, whose paths crossed at a pivotal moment, leading them to build something revolutionary for the Raleigh community.

A Journey Through Illness and Healing

For Lori, Health House was born out of necessity. After a battle with COVID, she was diagnosed with a cascade of chronic illnesses—myalgic encephalomyelitis, POTS, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, primary immune deficiency, and small fiber neuropathy. On the outside, she looked fine, but internally, her autonomic nervous system was in chaos. She found herself lost in an endless cycle of doctor’s appointments, prescription medications (nine pills a day and counting), and frustration with a medical system that often treats symptoms rather than the whole person.

Determined to regain control of her health, Lori turned to holistic wellness. She researched, experimented, and slowly started integrating alternative therapies into her routine. But there was a problem—holistic care was scattered and expensive. She had to go to one place for acupuncture, another for cold therapy, another for movement, and another for energy healing. The dream of one space that offered it all was planted in her mind.

A Nurse’s Mission to Change the Narrative

Emily, a registered nurse with over 20 years in healthcare, had her own eye-opening journey. Known as "America’s Nurse" on TikTok, she became a public figure after losing her job for refusing the COVID vaccine. While she still values Western medicine, she also saw firsthand its limitations. She deeply believes in the power of preventative, holistic health practices—practices often overlooked in traditional medical settings.

Emily and Lori first connected through Emily’s podcast, What the Healthcare, where Lori shared her story. That conversation sparked something bigger. They realized they shared the same vision: a space that blended evidence-based holistic wellness with community-driven healing. They weren’t just building a business; they were creating a movement.

Health House: A Place for Everyone

Health House was built with intentionality and inclusivity. It’s a place where:

  • Chronically ill individuals can find affordable access to life-changing therapies.

  • Athletes can recover, restore, and strengthen their bodies.

  • Men and women alike can embrace self-care and alternative wellness without stigma.

  • The “crunchy mommas” and wellness enthusiasts can immerse themselves in a supportive community.

The response has been overwhelming. People with chronic illnesses have reached out saying Health House gives them hope. Others have shared how they’ve felt invisible for so long, but now they finally feel seen. Health House is more than a studio—it’s a lifeline.

A Future Rooted in Community

Lori’s early search for support led her to a Facebook group called Sick Girls of Raleigh. She was relieved to find others who understood her struggles, but devastated that the group had nearly 15,000 members—a stark reminder of how many people were silently suffering. She knew something had to change. Now, with Health House, that change is happening.

Every service, every class, and every offering within Health House was designed to make holistic wellness accessible, centralized, and community-driven. Whether you’re looking for movement, mindfulness, or recovery, you’ll find it all here, under one roof.
